Contract manufacturing questions
What is wet wipes contract manufacturing?
It means we make the wipe and you sell it under your own brand. Phoenix Wipes develops the formulation, sources the nonwoven substrate, fills and seals the sachet, prints your artwork and ships the finished cases. You own the brand; we own the production.
Do you manufacture for industries not listed on this page?
Yes. The seven sectors here are the ones we ship most often. We also produce for childcare, dental, food service, automotive and industrial customers. If the product can be filled into a sachet, we can quote it.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the formulation and the sachet size, but our minimums are deliberately startup-friendly. A first run is usually small enough to test a market, and the same formulation scales to national volume without requalifying the product.
Can you manufacture to FDA or EPA requirements?
Yes. Healthcare and antiseptic products are made to the applicable FDA OTC monograph, and disinfecting claims are handled against the relevant registration route. Tell us the claim you need to make and we will tell you what the product has to meet.
Do you only make individually wrapped sachets?
Single wrapped sachets are our core format and what most of these sectors buy, because each unit stays saturated until it is opened. Canister and soft-pack formats are available where a sector genuinely uses them, such as gym equipment dispensers.
Can you match a wipe we already buy from someone else?
Usually. Send us the product or its spec sheet and our lab will work back to a comparable formulation, substrate weight and saturation level. You approve a physical sample before any production is committed.
How long does a first production run take?
Quoting takes days. Formulation and sampling is the variable part and depends on how far the product is from something we already make. Once artwork and the pilot run are approved, full production is scheduled on our own lines rather than queued behind another factory’s customers.
