Intimate Wipes

We manufacture private label intimate wipes for all genders — pH-balanced, glycerin-free options, and individually wrapped because in this category the packaging is the product benefit. Made in the USA for personal care brands, hospitality amenity programmes and DTC lines.

How it works

Discretion is a specification, not a marketing angle

An intimate wipe differs from a feminine wipe in audience and in format before it differs in chemistry. The formulation is a mild, low-surfactant cleanser buffered to a mid-range pH 4.5–5.5 — more acidic than a general body wipe, less specifically vulvar than a dedicated feminine product, because the intended user may be of any gender. Surfactants are non-ionic and kept at low load; fragrance is usually omitted or kept very light; and soothing agents such as aloe, chamomile, panthenol and allantoin are used to leave the skin comfortable rather than tight.

The format is where the real product decision sits. Intimate wipes are bought to be carried — in a wallet, a pocket, a glovebox, a hotel amenity kit — and used somewhere with no privacy and no bin. That makes the individually sealed sachet the defining feature: it has to be silent to open, small enough to conceal in a hand, robust enough to survive weeks in a pocket without splitting, and printed discreetly enough that nobody across the room can read it. Every one of those is a packaging engineering choice.

A note on formulation for products that may be used before or after sex: glycerin-free and condom-compatible variants matter. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol that can contribute to yeast overgrowth in some users, and oil-containing formulations degrade latex. We offer a glycerin-free, oil-free base for exactly this reason, and we will flag it rather than waiting to be asked.

Applications

Where intimate wipes sell

A smaller search category than feminine wipes but with a wider audience, a higher unit price and very little private label competition.

01

On-the-go personal hygiene

The core use: a single sachet carried for use away from home, in a washroom with no bidet and no privacy. Sold on discretion and reliability of the seal.

02

Men’s intimate care

A genuinely under-served segment with its own search demand. Larger wipe, cooling or neutral scent, plainer packaging — and almost no established private label supply.

03

Travel & hospitality amenity

Hotel, airline and long-haul rail amenity kits, where a discreetly printed sachet is a noticeable quality signal at very low unit cost.

04

Adult & wellness retail

Glycerin-free, latex-safe formulations sold through wellness and adult channels, where the compatibility claims are the purchase driver.

05

Vending & washroom programmes

Single sachets in washroom dispensers and vending, in venues, gyms and workplaces — an institutional volume channel most brands overlook.

06

Subscription hygiene kits

Bundled with hand and body wipes in DTC personal-care kits, where the intimate sachet is the differentiating item in the box.

Ask for the sachet drop-test and pocket-abrasion data, not just the artwork proof. A sachet that splits in a pocket after two weeks turns a discretion product into an embarrassment, and it is the single most damaging failure mode in this category.

Private Label & OEM

An under-supplied category with a real men’s opportunity

Intimate wipes get far less private label attention than feminine wipes, and the men’s segment gets almost none despite measurable search demand. If you already sell personal care to men, this is close to an open lane. We build the formulation unisex or gender-specific, engineer the sachet for pocket life, and print it as discreetly as you want it.

✓Glycerin-free and latex-safe base on request

✓Silent-open sachet with drop and abrasion testing

FAQ

Intimate wipes FAQ

What are intimate wipes, and how do they differ from feminine wipes?

Intimate wipes are pH-balanced personal hygiene wipes intended for the external intimate area, formulated for use by any gender and sold primarily in individually wrapped sachets for portability and discretion. Feminine wipes are a narrower product: buffered specifically to the vulvar pH range of 3.5–4.5 and marketed for daily feminine hygiene. Different pH, different audience, different format emphasis. If you are writing pack copy or usage instructions, our consumer guide to correct wiping technique is a useful reference for what end users are actually taught.

Do you make intimate wipes for men?

Yes, and it is one of the clearer gaps in the market. Men’s intimate wipes typically use a larger wipe, a neutral or cooling scent profile, plainer packaging and messaging built around post-gym and travel use. There is measurable search demand for them and very little established private label supply, which makes it an unusually open opportunity.

Why does individual wrapping matter so much for intimate wipes?

Because of where and how the product is used — away from home, often with no privacy and no bin. The sachet has to be silent to open, concealable in a closed hand, discreetly printed, and tough enough to survive weeks in a pocket or handbag without splitting. Those are engineering requirements, not aesthetic preferences, and they are what customers are actually paying for.

Are intimate wipes safe to use with condoms?

Only if the formulation is oil-free. Mineral oils and many plant oils degrade latex and can cause condom failure. We offer an oil-free, glycerin-free base specifically for products likely to be used in that context, and we recommend stating compatibility explicitly on pack rather than leaving the customer to guess.

Why offer a glycerin-free intimate wipe?

Glycerin is an excellent humectant and harmless for most people, but it is a sugar alcohol, and some users — particularly those prone to recurrent yeast infections — prefer to avoid it in intimate products. Offering a glycerin-free variant is a low-cost way to serve a customer group that reads ingredient lists carefully and is loyal when a brand accommodates them.

Can intimate wipes be flushed?

Only if built on a dispersible substrate, and the claim should be qualified. We supply a flushable grade, but we advise against unqualified flushable messaging: dispersibility test performance and real municipal wastewater tolerance are different things, and overclaiming in this category draws complaints and regulatory interest.
