Car Interior Cleaning Wipes
We manufacture private label car interior wipes on a water-based, alcohol-free formula that is safe on every soft-touch plastic, vinyl, rubber and sealed trim surface inside a modern cabin — which is the whole point of an interior wipe. Built for detailing brands, dealership groups, fleet operators and auto-parts retailers who need one product their customer cannot use wrongly.

How it works
What professional detailers actually use inside a car
Ask a detailer what they clean an interior with and the answer is almost never a disinfecting wipe — it is a dilute, pH-neutral, water-based surfactant. The reason is mechanical rather than chemical. Modern cabin plastics are soft-touch polyurethane, TPO and ABS, and they stay flexible because of plasticisers suspended in the polymer. Alcohol, quaternary ammonium and sodium hypochlorite all extract those plasticisers. You do not see it the first time; you see it two years later as a chalky, tacky dashboard and door cards that have gone hard and started to craze.
This is why the honest answer to “can I use disinfecting wipes on my car?” is no — not because they will not clean, but because they clean by a mechanism that costs you the surface. The same applies to household glass cleaner on the inside of a windshield and to any wipe with an ammonia content. Our interior formulation uses a non-ionic surfactant system at close to neutral pH, with no alcohol, no bleach, no ammonia and no silicone, so it lifts skin oil, food residue and airborne dust without touching the polymer underneath.
The second thing detailers do is control the substrate. A cheap interior wipe is a thin, flat spunbond that pushes dirt around a textured grain instead of pulling it out. Ours is a 45 gsm embossed spunlace: the embossing gives the sheet somewhere to hold what it lifts, which is what stops the streak you get when a saturated wipe redeposits its own soil. For a low-gloss finish specifically on the dash top, see our dashboard & trim wipes; for seats, our leather & vinyl wipes.
At a glance
✓Near-neutral pH, non-ionic surfactant system
✓No alcohol, bleach, ammonia, silicone or dye
✓Safe on soft-touch plastic, vinyl, rubber and sealed trim
✓Embossed 45 gsm spunlace — holds soil instead of spreading it
✓Individually sealed so the last wipe is as wet as the first
Not for: a disinfection claim, uncoated aniline leather, or unsealed suede and Alcantara.
Applications
Where interior car wipes are used
This is the highest-volume format in automotive care and the one most often bought under private label, because the specification is standard and the shelf presence is not.
01
Dealership delivery & PDI
A branded sachet in the glovebox at handover is the cheapest recurring brand impression a dealer group buys, and it is billed to the prep budget rather than to marketing.
02
Rental & car-share turnaround
A rental cabin has to be presentable in minutes, not hours. Single-use sachets remove the shared-cloth problem entirely between renters.
03
Fleet and last-mile vehicles
Vans that carry two or three drivers a day accumulate cabin soil faster than any private car. Bulk canisters live in the depot; sachets live in the door pocket.
04
Detailing brands & kits
Interior wipes are the anchor SKU of a retail detailing range: the one item bought again on every visit rather than once a season.
05
Ride-share and taxi operators
Drivers clean between fares with whatever is in the door bin. Giving them a correct product costs less than replacing a crazed dashboard.
06
Auto-parts and grocery retail
The impulse buy at the till and the endcap. Canister and flow-wrap formats both index well here; the sachet does not.

Comparison
Interior wipes vs. the rest of the automotive range
An interior wipe is deliberately the general case. Where a surface has a specific failure mode — coated leather, tinted glass, an oleophobic display, hot brake dust — it gets its own chemistry.

Private Label & OEM
Your brand on the SKU that sells again every month
Interior wipes are the easiest automotive product to launch under your own label: the buying decision is driven by wetness, sheet size and packaging — three things we control on our own line in New York. There is no regulatory registration to wait for, because the product carries no disinfection claim. Most customers go from first call to finished pallets in six to eight weeks.
✓Custom sachet and canister artwork, full colour, both sides
✓Your sheet size, saturation level and substrate weight
✓Fragrance developed to your brief, or none at all
✓Anti-static and ceramic-topper variants from the same family
✓FOB, EXW and DDP terms — we handle the paperwork
FAQ
Car interior wipes FAQ
Can I use Clorox or Lysol disinfecting wipes on my car interior?
You can, but you should not make a habit of it. Quaternary ammonium and bleach both extract the plasticisers that keep soft-touch dashboard and door-card plastics flexible. The damage is cumulative and invisible for the first year or two, then shows up as a chalky, tacky surface that no product will restore. If you need a disinfection claim in a vehicle, we make an EPA-registered surface wipe separately rather than pretending an interior wipe is one.
What is the best thing to clean a car interior with?
For everything except glass, screens and coated leather: a near-neutral, water-based surfactant on an embossed nonwoven. That is genuinely what most professional detailers use, because it is the only chemistry that is safe on every cabin material at once. The specialised products earn their place on the four surfaces that have a real failure mode — tinted glass, oleophobic displays, pigmented leather and hot alloy wheels.
Do interior car wipes leave a shiny film?
Ours do not, by design. Gloss on an interior comes from silicone or oil dressings, and it has two practical costs: it reflects into the driver’s eye line and it outgasses onto the inside of the windshield as a haze. Our formulation is silicone-free and dries to the factory matte finish. If a customer specifically wants a dressed look, we formulate that as a separate SKU rather than blending it into the everyday wipe.
Are these wipes safe on leather seats and touchscreens?
Safe, but not optimal. Coated leather wants a pH-neutral cleaner with a conditioner in it — see our leather & vinyl wipes. Touchscreens want no surfactant residue at all and nothing that attacks the oleophobic coating — see our screen & infotainment wipes. An interior wipe will not damage either, but it will not do the job as well.
What size should a car interior wipe be?
For a single-sachet giveaway, 5″ × 7″ is the practical minimum — smaller and the user runs out of clean surface halfway across a dashboard. For canisters and detailing use, 8″ × 10″ is the standard because it folds into eight usable faces. We tool all three sizes and will run a size that is not on the list.
Can you private label car wipes at low volume to start?
Yes. We run pilot volumes deliberately, because the fastest way to kill a new automotive brand is to commit a container of stock to artwork and a fragrance that has never been in front of a customer. Start with a short run in stock film, prove the SKU, then move to custom-printed sachets at volume.
Other automotive wipes we manufacture
Most interior programmes ship alongside at least one specialist wipe. These are the three most commonly ordered with it.
